Experts in Children's Eye Tests

Children rarely have serious vision problems, but we recommend routine eye tests to identify any issues early on. The more quickly problems can be identified, the better chance we have to treat and improve the situation and reduce further eye degeneration. Children are often not aware that they have vision issues. If they do, routine eye exams can identify them and avoid or reduce the growth, development, or learning problems resulting from the condition. Children's Eye Tests

We are currently seeing children, at 7 years and older.

Depending on our initial evaluation, we may perform some of the following children's eye exams:

  • Snellen charts
  • Range of movement tests
  • Refraction (chart reading) test
  • Color vision tests

Eye problems may be detected include lazy eyes, squints, short-sightedness, long-sightedness, blurred vision, astigmatism, and color blindness.
